Ability to use non-embroidery file formats to load embroidery products
Craig Mertens
Gretchen and I worked with a client. He does not get his graphics files digitized until after he has an order. For this reason, he uses a PNG file of the vector graphic to create the mockup. He is unable to specify an order as embroidery as this requires a DST file. This is not the case with proposals. He uses contract embroiders and sends the order worksheet to his supplier. His only solution currently is to open the PDF worksheet in Illustrator and change the production method to Embroidery. He is asked for the ability to override the production method to embroidery if a non-embroidery format is used for the product. Also, embroiders typically will create a embroidery rendering with their embroidery software and save as a PNG file to get a better quality preview. See attached PNG file.

When you are creating the job, when you are selecting the workflow Embroidery-ScreenPrinting etc, this is what determines the print method in production and also the job type on the workorder.
