Add 3% CC Charge

Yes forcing us to eat the fee makes complicated profit calculations.

It would be great to add this or a fee in the proposal state. FYI rewards credit cards charge up to 3.5% or more.
Jamie @HotMarketDesign
This would be a good idea, but you can't call it a credit card or processing fee (its illegal in most states if not all). You would have to call it a convenience fee or something. Good idea, but just need to be careful.

Jamie @HotMarketDesign: It's legal in NY now.

Jamie @HotMarketDesign: I'm in the card processing industry. It is prohibited in exactly two states, CT and MA. It is not illegal in NY but must be disclosed to the consumer at the point of shopping, not checkout.

Getting killed by this, need this added ASAP

I agree we need this as well and I have been inquiring about it for years. Adding 3% to the sell does not work in my business . My customers are expecting to pay a certain amount for a product and a lot of our stores are fundraiser stores and get commission on the net price. If we add 3% into the price then it would defeat the purpose as they will received a commission on the surcharge. From a programming stand point if you are able to add rush charges you should be able to add a line of code for the credit card fee. It does not seem to be a difficult request

Absolutely YES. This is a quick and easy fix for dev team.
Louis DiMeglio
Given that you can't really buy without using a CC wouldn't everything just end up with the surcharge? That being the case, why not just increase the prices the 3% in the first place?
Michelle Parrott
Or even the option to add it as a reusable service with percent of total.

I agree with this proposal...I don't see anywhere to cast a vote.
