Allow partial refund when canceling order

When canceling an order, it would be great to be able to do a partial refund minus a restocking fee. We don't always refund the full amount when canceling an order, as it costs us processing fees, and so, it would be great if we could refund minus a restocking fee (either as a % of the order total or $ value!) You could also allow adding items to an existing order, as we could add a "restocking fee" and minus the original items.

You can.
Go into your Dashboard - InkSoft Core - Orders - select into the Order and either Add Discount at the bottom or Edit the Product individually and it will prompt you to refund!

This would be a nice feature to add to Inksoft Payments

Or - if the customer returns an item for an incorrect size or they ordered the wrong thing etc, we need to be able to refund maybe only one item from an order or do a partial refund so that the customer is only refunded for the product but is still charged for the shipping on the original order. This is another thing that seems like an extremely basic function that should be there since day 1.

Yes most definitely. Especially when they use a credit card and you have already been charged 3% why should you have to absorb that cost too.

Yes there should be a partial refund. I get multiple items on store orders and if something is out of stock my only refund option is to refund the whole order and have the customer re-due their order. Not very good customer service.

I swear this used to be a thing where you could enter the amount of the refund when you cancel and then it disappeared.

Jennie McGovern Livezey: yup … that was supported in legacy.
