Clone Store - Including Products

The ability to Clone Store, including Full Product List.
If InkSoft needs to change the SKUs to something default, no problem. If you need to have us click through any "questionable products" (such as Legacy/Pre-decorated) as it creates, no problem.
But what we need is the ability to recreate 100+ product stores without doing it one at a time -- especially when features like Processing Time and Size Charts are not copied from base product listings.

Courtney Mayers: AWESOME!!!

Courtney Mayers:
Hi Courtney, there is still the huge issue of artwork being cloned to the new store - and then REMOVED from the original store. We do not want the artwork REMOVED from the original store it was cloned from. That store is still active and still needs that artwork shown in Store Admin > Artwork.
This is bad practice, but it is a new bug that was introduced this spring -- it was not an issue before that. Please let us know what the timeline is to resolve that.

Emily Stout:
Hi Emily, I just ran through our Clone Store feature and updated an art asset for my new store. This replaced the art on the products I just copied for the new store but did not remove or update art assets on the original store.
If you are having this issue, please reach out to Support with as much detail as possible so they can document this ticket for our development team.
Thanks!

Courtney Mayers: What is the time frame of deployment? We are launching over 10 duplicate stores?
Courtney Mayers
Bill Richardson: Development is in progress and once that is completed we will work through testing to ensure a quality release. Because of the multiple variables, theres no set release date just yet, but we will keep you posted.

Agreed! I'm working with a franchised company and the owners are starting to talk which in turn is increasing the demand for an eStore with our company. We do a unique logo for each franchisee so we create a unique eStore for each one. I have 45 products and every color imaginable of each style. It takes 5-6 hours to recreate a site with a new product/mock up so if they can streamline this step for all of us it would be a huge win! You figure we all have templates for schools, sports groups, construction companies, etc. so to be able to easily and efficiently duplicate the template/products then have the new logo pull through to each product would save us all hours and hours of time. Let's see if we can get this on the roadmap please! thanks.

I have a hard time believing that this wasn't thought of in the beginning. It was one of the first questions I asked when I came on to the platform. I have been using OMG to create stores. In that platform I could copy a store and then go in and change the colors of items offered and the logos, branding, etc. But I didn't have to RECREATE the store products from scratch. It only makes sense. We sell to schools. We offer a lot of products to them. It is so much easier to curate a store for the season and then duplicate it so you don't have to do the work so many times. And when I have a school that has the same colors as another school I have even less work to do because I could copy a store that offered the colors I needed to offer. At the very least it would be nice to have "TEMPLATE" stores that could be copied. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do this!!!

Indeed! I recently cloned a store, after setting it up with products, and the clone is "empty" -- since products are shared between stores anyway, why not add a "include products" option in the cloning process, before the cloning actually happens?
