We frequently run store coupons that get billed out to a customer. Say we have a staff store with coupons like (StaffAppreciation). Each staff member gets $75 dollars toward the store. It would be extremely helpful if we could have the discounts for a coupon attached or applied to a specific customer or Proposal. Each time a coupon was used the discount would be automatically applied or collected in to a proposal for that company. We could then bill it out monthly and the reset the coupon setting to apply to the next PO.
Also great for team stores where the team is paying for said item. Or in some cases a sponsor will pay for the item.
Anybody else run into this? I always forget to bill them out or I get behind and have to go back and dig up the details!

The method I have used it to provide each employee a gift certificate with a certain amount attached. This method generates the tax on their purchase (coupon codes don't...been there done THAT!!!). With the gift certificates, you can also increase the amount for future use. It also makes life easy when generating the reports. A history is provided showing the issue date/usage.
The stores I have used this method for were for Christmas gifts on one and a point system (points=dollar amounts) for the other. I get an updated points list from the employer each quarter. We update the points for the employees, removed the terminated employees and reenter those who have come back.
Another great aspect of the gift certificates is when you reenter an email address that was deleted, the gift certificate is still assigned to that email and the history remains.
*** When uploading gift certificates hit the button ONCE and allow it to generate the gift certificates. Each time you hit the button before completion, you are issuing a NEW gift certificate for that email address. You will have to manually go in and remove the balance on each additional gift certificate. (I learned this lesson THE HARD WAY!!!!)
