Similarly related -- we had a fundraiser store client wish to deliver shirts themselves within a specific radius from their address. (Defining an area by radius isn't an option at all, which would be nice.) I created a new shipping option for "Free Delivery" at the same shipping level as USPS, FedEx, etc., and hoped for the best. (Point is, the Free Delivery option was NOT a subset of USPS/stamps.com options, like First Class or Priority Mail.)

When a customer checks out, the option for delivery appears with other USPS mailing options. Fine, still no biggie.

However, when the fundraiser ended and we were processing multiple orders for shipping and delivery, the system processed everything as shipping. All the Free Delivery orders required the same procedures for shipping as if we were mailing through USPS. I figured the workaround was to select all orders and choose the bulk option to mark all orders as recorded. That did the trick, but it was hardly intuitive.

I would think that orders designated as Free Delivery might have been processed through a different workflow path, rather than going through the actual shipper portals.

I agree. You should be able to pick our store address as a default and enter only if 'New' address is needed, way too much typing and you have to fill out every single field.

Yes, I would like that as well. It's redundant to have to keep adding the same thing to every store.

Yes, a default pick up location would be great.
