Custom Reporting

Core used to offer custom reporting where you could choose the columns you wanted to pull BEFORE creating the report. This was SUPER helpful because it removes the room for error on our end when we have to delete unwanted columns manually. This feature was pulled right after Beta testing came out because it didn't work as intending, but it needs to come back! I was told it is on the horizon, but some additional advocacy here would help push it to the top of the list!

Agreed, half the columns in the auto reports are useless. like I don't need the customer's address broken down into individual columns like 4 different places in one spreadsheet

I need to be able to run a report that shows me gift certificates used against the product it is used by order. I have stores where I have prepaid items and on-demand and this makes invoicing the on-demand almost impossible (hours of work).

2 years since this was posted an crickets from Inksoft. Not good.

So, I just got off of a chat with Inksoft and it turns out we never really had to quit using the old reports. I was instructed to use the Simple Reports when we upgraded to core so that's what I did. Turns out I was making everyone use these terrible simple reports for no apparent reason. I was told the others still work fine and there is no immediate plan to terminate them. I bet the wondered why we were all complaining so much. Sadly, someone there was instructing people that they needed to switch... turns out you didn't.

Very frustrating that there are no payment reports available that can help box to our merchant processor and to quick books. We have to rely on the assumption that nothing was missed. Makes reconciliations difficult. When pulling the simple payment report, it relies on the order dates, not the payments dates, which also makes things impossible to reconcile. And there is no way to distinguish between cash payments and check payments.

We recently upgraded to core and what a BIG mistake that was. The reports are terrible now. I've been instructed to find a new platform with better reporting. To bad... we're a long time customer and always liked Inksoft until now. What a big step backwards this has been. Very disappointing.
