Order Status

In the order manager, I would like to add a stage titled ART in-between the work flow NEW and SCHEDULED.
The way our businesses work is we receive an order "NEW"
then the next step is getting the "ART" ready.
Then, we schedule the order.
As the owner, and my sales staff, we would like to view the order manager at a quick glance to know the "Art" department grabbed the order and started the "ART" by updating the status in the order manager.
Then the production manager can schedule the order was the artwork is ready.

Order management programs that I have worked with in the past have allowed for customization of these fields. I could use a button that says "ART" as well as "OUTSIDE VENDOR OR OUTSIDE PROMO" instead of saying "NEW" until it goes on the production calendar and says "SCHEDULED".

Ty Hadley - To add onto this post - for "Order Status" in the order manager, it would be insanely helpful in there was a phase between "New" and "Ready to Ship", like an "In Production" phase to let our team know we've downloaded the packing slips and working on the order, but it's not quite ready to ship yet.

Heather Shaw: There is a stage for this currently, but like I was mentioning in my other comment, it requires that you're doing something with the production status of the order. In case you haven't used that part of the system before, here is a video from our YouTube page about using our Production features: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vdr82RHEU8A
Basically, if the order has production cards that are in the middle of production, the order will have a status of In Production, or if you have it set for a Job that you haven't started working on yet, the status will display as Scheduled.

I want to expand this idea and suggest that there be optional custom statuses that can be applied to orders. I spoke to another user that wanted to change the status of an order without using the Production part of the system, and I feel like implementing a feature this way with a custom order stage could be beneficial to a larger volume of our users.
